SmallDVD is a simple DVD authoring utility for MacOSX that will take video files and create a DVD image from them that is automatically burnt to DVD. It is an OS X utility. Small DVD is very easy to use and requires little or no knowledge of authoring DVDs to get good results. The process is as follows : Step 0: Prepare your video files SmallDVD accepts video files in a variety of formats, DV, DV50, DVCPRO HD etc. If the files are not MPEG2 video with MP2 or AC3 audio, they will be converted on the local machine. Step 1: Set the menu background Click Select Menu Background and pick a JPG, TIFF or PNG background, this can be set as a default for you house style or you can just leave the default background. Step 2: Add the video files For each video file you want to put on the DVD you can click Add Video File and select the file or just drag the movie into the DVD window. it will take the name of the file as the button description or you can re-organise or re-name within the file menu as required. Step 3: Tweak the template (optional) The template just controls where the buttons on the DVD menu go, how big they are, and which font to use. Click Edit Template to change the default settings to your house style. Step 4: Create the DVD image Click Create DVD to build the DVD image and tick the box burn disk to burn the image to a DVD disk, you will be prompted to load a DVD if there is not one already loaded and once it is burnt it will eject the disk ready for you to play in a DVD player.
