Firstly, we’d like to say a happy New Year to all our clients, strategic partners and everyone involved with the company.
2011 was the busiest year yet for Support Partners that we can remember with our central, embedded and global teams working at full tilt all year. We are particularly proud of the way that Support Partners have managed the biggest change of the year…the move to tapeless cameras, file-based workflows and managing the huge amounts of media this creates. This really shows the particular strength of Support Partners – adding explanatory depth to brilliant workflows, sticking with technology when others have moved on or found it too tricky, always taking our clients seriously and helping them to overcome any technical and workflow challenges so they can deliver amazing programming.
Elsewhere we’ve been just as strong and it’s been an amazing year for the ‘big events’ with our huge behind the scenes involvement in the landmark BBC series Frozen Planet to the upgrade of all the BBC London, BBC Bristol and News International editing and XSAN shared storage systems – whilst they all continue to deliver against punishing production and delivery schedules. The amount of commitment and sheer energy from everyone at Support Partners to deliver all our clients solutions and ongoing support has been amazing.
Our new digital workflow products such as ‘Evos Review’ and ‘MediaArc’ are really starting to gain market acceptance, delivering more and more hours of output and starting to deliver global agile digital services to our clients. If you’re not aware of EVOS Review – our online collaborative video review tool or MediaARC – our cloud based backup system let us know and we’ll be delighted to demo them to you.
In 2012 we will be introducing some new and very competitive services and tools. We are sure these up-coming services and tools will really help all our clients (large and small) to benefit from a common creative toolset at an affordable and flexible price. We’ll let you know more in the near future….
The Support Partners Marketing department is now fully up and running and will help us to promote our products and services as well as company news to a wider audience. As a first step the new Support Partners website is now officially online. Over the forthcoming months we will be looking to enhance our web-sites further with added features, news and articles. You will also see that there has been an update to our Support Partners brand identity with a refresh of the Support Partners logo! Also, look out for our regular blog posts, twitter feeds and new monthly e-newsletter.
Although trading conditions will be tough for everyone at the start of the year there is a tremendous amount to look forwards to in 2012. FCP X ‘coming of age’ and gaining all the features professional and broadcast users need, a very feature rich Adobe CS6 being introduced to the market, Support Partners first steps into the world of Avid after the release of Media Composer 6 and continuing to increase our render farm, encoding, grading, asset management and VFX solutions and services. If that was not enough, we’ll also be moving our London office in the first part of the year as well as opening a new office in Bristol.
So 2012 will be the most ambitious year in the Support Partners’s history with the delivery of brand new services and processes to help Support Partners move forward and ahead of the competition with the aim to delivering outstanding solutions, tools and support to all our clients.
So fingers crossed for a great 2012 and best wishes to all our valued clients, business partners and suppliers for a successful and prosperous year ahead.
